Information we collect

We collect the following information:

• Registration information - When you sign up for Zambia eHealth Training, you are creating a user account on the Zambia eHealth training portal. When you register, you will be asked to provide the following information: user name, password, first name, last name, email address, mobile number, NRC number, date of birth, organization, profession, job title, date of service entry, facility, district, province. Please note that some of the fields are optional. We will collect personal identification information from users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us.

• Activity information - When you use Zambia eHealth Training to access the eLearning courses and services, we may collect information about the activity, including: date, time, course progress, grades, nature of access, the user’s location.

How we use the information we collect

We use the information you provide to us in order to provide you with access to Zambia eHealth Training services. We also use the information to review your Zambia eHealth Training account to determine whether you continue to meet the terms of the account, to make decisions about your future Zambia eHealth Training activities, for analyses and reporting and for other legitimate needs related to or initiated by Zambia eHealth Training events such as push notifications via the mobile application.

Your registration information is stored in the Moodle Learning Management System on secure servers. When you use the mobile application, data is processed by Moodle Pty Limited who meet Data Protection Act requirements. Data is hosted and managed by Synergy Learning. You can view their privacy policy here: https://cdn2.hubspot.net/hubfs/4861792/SynergyLearning_September2018/PDF/Synergy-Learning-Privacy-Policy-240418.pdf . Your information is stored in backup files on their server, will only be accessed for legitimate reasons. In addition, certain data elements may also be stored on your mobile device or computer. We may retain the information you provide for extended periods of time for the purpose of complying with legal process and regulatory obligations.

Maintenance

The user’s personal data may be further used in ways and for purposes required for site maintenance.

System Logs

For operation and maintenance purposes, this site and any third-party services it uses may collect system logs, i.e., files that record interaction – including navigation. They may also contain personal data, such as IP addresses.

Any materials or documents and all copies thereof, evidencing or otherwise relating to Confidential Information, at the earlier of UTH-HAP/MOH’s request for return of such materials, or the termination of the aforesaid relationship between UTH-HAP/MOH and LMS, at UTH-HAP/MOH’s option, will either be:  (i) promptly returned to UTH-HAP/MOH or (ii) destroyed by LMS (with LMS providing written certification of such destruction).

This Agreement shall govern all communications between the Parties respecting Confidential Information which are made from February 2020 through the life of the project unless terminated earlier.  LMS’ obligations under this Agreement with respect to Confidential Information it has received shall continue for a period of three (3) years after final termination of the agreement.

 

Information we share

We will only share your personal information with other institutions or individuals outside of Zambia eHealth Training in the following circumstances:

• As permitted under the Zambia eHealth privacy policy
• As necessary to process your eLearning activity and maintain your account
• To complete your registration

Any information you provide directly to a third-party institution, website or application is not covered by this privacy policy. We are not responsible for the privacy or security practices of institutions or other third parties with whom you choose to share your personal information directly. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third party with whom you choose to share your personal information directly.

The information that we collect, including information obtained from third parties, is shared with our affiliates, meaning other partners we work and collaborate with. De-identified user data and information will be shared and used to support reporting functionality and for reporting purposes by partners.

We will not share your personal information with anyone outside of Zambia eHealth Training or with our affiliates except as described in this privacy policy.

We will not give away your personal identification information to others without your expressed permission to do so.

In short, you’re not forced to use this site or provide any data, but if you do it’s your choice what to disclose. From your profile page, you can request to be informed of what data of yours we have, ask us to change or delete it, and tell you who has direct access to it. We’ll be careful to prevent unauthorised access to your data, but if we find your data may have been breached, we will notify you. We won’t spam you; you can opt in and out of mailing lists and app push notifications. We won’t give away or sell your personal data in any way to others.

 

Information security

The security of your Zambia eHealth training account depends on you keeping your account password(s), and other access information for the service confidential. If you share your account information with a third party, he or she will have access to your account and your personal information.

It is your responsibility to control access to your mobile device or computer and the Zambia eHealth Training application on your device or computer, including keeping your password(s) confidential and not sharing it with anyone. It is also your responsibility to alert Zambia eHealth Training or the relevant partner if you believe that the security of the information in the Zambia eHealth Training application has been compromised.

On our part, we adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, username, password, activity information and data stored on our site. Synergy’s servers are protected by relevant active security processes. In the unfortunate event of a data security breach, we will notify users whose personal identification information may have been breached.

 

Legal protection

The user’s personal data may be used for legal purposes by the owner of the site in court or in the stages leading to possible legal action arising from the user’s improper use of the site or related services.

 

Changes to this privacy policy

The site reserves the right to make changes to this privacy policy at any time by giving notice to its users on this page, and by ensuring analogous protection of personal information in all cases. It is strongly recommended that site users review this page often, referring to the date of the last modification listed at the bottom. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this privacy policy periodically and become aware of modifications.

 

Your Acceptance of these terms
